Harry Styles Breaks Down Onstage Following Zayn Malik's Decision To Quit One Direction
Harry Styles reportedly broke down over the news of Zayn Malik quitting One Direction for good. Even though the remaining members already said that they would continue as a four-piece, Harry was seen to be quite emotional while the band performs for their Jakarta fans.
Daily Star UK reports that Harry wasn't able to contain his emotions hours after his bandmate Zayne announced his decision not to be part of the One Direction anymore. While onstage, the 21-year-old tattooed singer reportedly cried and covered his face with his arm, then wiped eyes as he walked across the stage.
Even though Zayn, Simon Cowell and the four remaining members, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan all released their statements over the unfortunate news on the group’s Facebook page, none of the remaining members personally tweeted anything or posted anything on their social media accounts to react to the news.
On Wednesday, Zayn shocked One Directioners with his decision to quit the band for good. It was no secret that he was feeling a bit stressed for the past few weeks, especially after the rumours of him cheating on his fiancée Perrie Edwards broke out and culminating to him leaving the band in the middle of “On The Road Again” tour. While the four members went to Manila to start the Asian leg of the band’s tour, Zayn flew back to the U.K. due to “stress.” However, leaving the group permanently was quite unexpected.
On the group’s Facebook Page, Zayn said that his life with the band has been more than he could ever imagined. However, after five years of non-stop performing made him think now is the best time for him to leave. He said he yearns to be a normal 22-year-old who can have a carefree and private life. He also extended his apologies to the fans he hurt and disappointed but said he needs to follow his heart on this one. Zayn also believe that Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall will be his friends for life and that the remaining four would still make sure One Direction would be the best band in the world.
