Three years have passed since Susan Boyle became an instant celebrity through "Britain's Got Talent." After 14 million albums sold, Boyle is returning with a third album called "Someone to Watch Over Me" and a handful of helpful tips to other aspiring artists.

On Having The 'SuBo' Nickname

Susan Boyle who also has the nickname "SuBo," is amused that it sounds as neat and sexy as "J-Lo." The 50-year-old singer from Scotland sports a hair colour that is much lighter and now inserts French words into her speech. Her fans will surely be amazed with the changes that they will see with their talented idol especially with this newest album unveiling her "rocker" side.

"It's like another life, I've grown up a lot since then... that I am entirely different now," Boyle says. Her new album contains her cover of "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode and other moody songs like "Mad World." This is her way of wanting to relate to the younger listeners. It was recorded in London for three whole months.

Forgetting the Past and Moving on for the Best

Boyle did not want to talk about the period in June 2009 when she got overwhelmed with the media attention. Now, all she wants to do is to let her listeners reflect with her songs and concentrate on how to be a model for those who, like her, have been bullied before and was too scared to stand on their own.

The Lesson She Learned and Shares with Others

With good people surrounding her today, Boyle definitely feels much better. When talking about the tiny steps she had to make as a starting artist then, she shares this lesson with others: "The biggest lesson I've learned is to be more honest with people, true to yourself and learn to say no to certain things," she said. "In the music business, anything can harm."

It might even surprise her fans that no matter how good she sounds already, she still takes singing lessons continuously and does not drink or smoke. She added in one interview as well that she also tries not to shout anymore.

Boyle is set to sing the soundtrack for a musical comedy about her life and her character will be played by actress Elaine C. Smith.
