“Home and Away” recap
Last week, Elly surprised Matt when she unexpectedly turned up at his doorstep. His baby sister revealed that she ran away, but won’t say why. Matt tried his hardest to hide Elly from Roo. However, Roo she started getting suspicious when Matt acted weirdly. She assumed that Matt invited a girl over. After Roo left, Matt took a walk with Elly. She begged Matt to let her stay with him. She said she’s having problems with her legal guardian. Matt couldn’t bear to say no to Elly and agreed… but only until he comes up with a better plan.
Later, Roo felt guilty for being snapping at Matt and returned home to apologise to him and to meet his “girlfriend.” There, Roo urged Matt to bring his latest conquest out of his room. Backed into a corner, Matt called Elly, leaving Roo completely shell-shocked.
Alf went with the rescue team to look for Duncan, as well as Tori, Nate and Brody. He was disheartened when he didn’t see them at the crash site. Failing to find his son, Alf returned and talked to Roo about his regrets. She assured him that Duncan knows he’s loved by Alf. Without any positive news about the other plane crash victims, Alf resorted to pouring out his feelings by writing a letter to Duncan.
Meanwhile, Tori and the others screamed for Brody’s name, trying to look for him. Having no food and water for a couple of days, Brody turned delusional and started having hallucinations. He flashed back to when he and his siblings were still kids, having fun at the beach. He also had a vision of his mum, who took his hand and walked together with him. It turned out that he’s not on the beach but on top of a cliff, and as he walked further, he fell off.
As their fruitless search for Brody continued, Duncan and Nate began to worry about their well-being – they were going around low in supplies. Earlier, they tried to steer her towards the crash site without her knowledge, but she caught on where they’re headed and insisted to continue looking for her brother. However, recognising that they’re going nowhere, she reluctantly agreed. Shortly after, Justin found them and an emotional reunion ensued. Their celebration got cut short, however, when they remembered Brody’s still missing.
The group found Brody’s clothing. While Tori was happy that they finally had a lead, Nate worried about the real reason why Brody’s shedding off his clothes. Nate reckoned he’s delirious, making Justin and Tori even worried. Soon enough, Tori spotted him below the cliff, his body disfigured from the fall.
