WhatsApp Voice Calling For iOS Devices
Even though WhatsApp voice calling for iOS is few weeks away, users can still activate the feature on jailbroken iOS devices. According to The Fuse Joplin, the following steps needs to be performed to enable the voice calling feature on any iOS device:
- Download and install AppSyn.
- Download the most recent WhatsApp BETA edition.
- Next, users are required to add cydia.angelxwind.net and apt.imokhles.com repository on Cydia sources.
- Download the WhatsApp Call Enabler and ensure that it is enabled in the settings.
- After enabling the voice calling feature, a user should receive a WhatsApp call from another WhatsApp user.
- Once the call received and completed, the device will have to be restarted.
One should be aware that the voice calling will be officially made available to iOS users in couple of weeks, states the Venture Beat. The voice calling feature is different from voice messages feature that is already available on WhatsApp.
In order to send voice messages, users are required to press and hold the microphone icon present on the on-screen keyboard. However, the new voice calling feature will make it possible for the users to make calls to contracts. According to the Forbes, the arrival of voice calling feature will allow WhatsApp to pit against Skype.
Few months ago, the WhatsApp Web version of the popular instant messaging service was launched. Except for iOS users, it is available for Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry and Symbian S60 devices.
