How to Close or Turn Off Apps on the iOS 7 for the iPhone or iPad Users
Some of the veteran Apple fans who have used the iOS 6 are among those who are having difficulty in closing apps on the new iOS 7 operating system on their iPhones and iPads. Here is how to close the apps and stop them from running in the background.
Apple fans who are used to the iOS 6 had to double tap the home button to show all the apps running in the background. Users would then tap and hold any one of the apps until they wiggle and then press the red cross to close the app.
In the iOS 7, when users double tap the home button all the apps running in the background appear in a full screen mode on the iPhone or the iPad device running on the latest operating system.
Users can swipe left or right in order to scroll through the list of apps, in order to choose the app that needs to be closed. In order to close an app, users have to swipe upwards on the thumbnail. The iOS 7 allows users to close up to three apps simultaneously. Users can use three fingers to close three running apps simultaneously by swiping upwards.
Some users may find that they are unable to close the app by swiping up. The common mistake many make is that they swipe on the icon. Users will be able to close the app if they swipe the page view above the icon and not swipe just on the icon.
Some users are still used to the iOS 6 and feel that the closing procedure was more intuitive in the previous version. Many users are offering suggestions to make the interface more intuitive like indicating the active apps on the home screen and a "close all running apps" option.
Closing of the apps, which are not being used by the user at that time, helps open up more memory space on the iPhone or iPad. This can help in making the device work more efficiently, especially while playing games.
Many of the apps, like gaming apps, take up a lot of space on the iPhone or iPad and users may encounter performance issues if multiple apps are running in the background. Is the iOS 7 better than the iOS 6? Please leave your comments below.
