Have you ever experienced seeing your Playstation 4 turn itself on and eject the disc in the drive repeatedly for few seconds or minutes? It can happen while you are in a middle of heated game or while you are sleeping at 4 in the morning. While this may sound surprising it's also very common among PS4 owners.

GAMEFAQS discussion board is full of stories with this particular issue about PS4's auto-eject problem.

Apparently, the cause of the problem has something to do with the eject button getting stuck in a depressed position. Do not worry because we have solutions for this creepy bug of your PS4. Here are the steps that you should follow:

1. Pull the plug

Geek.com is very particular in advising players that the first thing to do is of course to pull out the plug. It is like what your basic instinct tells you when dealing with electronic gadgets glitch or problem. So you should pull the power cord and wait for a while then plug it back in and turn it on. Some users claim that this step could actually solve the problem.

2. Change the position of your PS4

In case turning it off and on didn't solve the issue then you may try changing position of your PS4. This is also the same as the suggestion from article from Playstationing advising PS4 owners to change the position of the console. Since some people say that this bug is about the position of your console then it would be helpful to change its position. You could use couple of CDs to elevate its position. Elevating the console will allow the eject button off the ground which can sometimes fix the issue immediately.

3. Wipe it carefully

After that, you must give a quick wipe especially around the eject button area.

4. Remove the HDD panel

Then, it is advisable to remove the glossy HDD panel and locate small screw at the top of your PS4 then tighten it.

5. Boot into safe mode

You could then switch off your PS4 using the power button from the main control panel and once it is off you should press and hold the power button. You could release it as soon as you heard the two beeps.

It is also possible to choose option in which you will Initialize PS4 (Reinstall System Software). But be sure to connect USB stick with the firmware and completely wipe your console. Doing this step will of course make you to reinstall or re-download all your games or patches.

If the problem still persists after doing all those steps then you should bring your PS4 to a technician or to Sony Care center to solve the problem once and for all.
