"How I Met Your Mother" suffered a minor casting bump as actress Ellie Kemper backed out from her guest appearance in the upcoming Season 9, but Anna Camp came to the rescue in replacing the "The Office" star. Additionally, HIMYM fans are treated with the Season 9 preview video clip on episode "The Locket" featuring Alyson Hannigan and Josh Radnor as Lily Aldrin and Ted Mosby.

TVLine reports that Ellie Kemper had to cancel the "How I Met Your Mother" guest appearance due to conflict with work schedule. Now, actress Anna Camp will add the comedic guest role to her TV work credits as Cassie, the guest from hell in Robin and Barney's upcoming wedding.

Ms Camp's new role is reported for a one-episode appearance only. However, there is a possibility that the horrible Cassie may return since the Robin and Barney's wedding will play out throughout Season 9.

The other recruited guest celebrities in "How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 include "Revenge" star Roger Bart, Sherri Shepherd, Wayne Brady and John Lithgow as Barney's dad. Excited fans are expecting a lot to happen in the HIMYM final season and actress Cobie Smulders shared an interesting detail about her character Robin Scherbatsky.

Ms Smulders revealed at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con that she does not see Robin leaving Barney just to get back with Ted. "I think that Ted and Robin have a connection and they were in love with each other at one point, and that's something that doesn't just vanish," the Canadian actress shared.

She further added: "So I think it's dealing with that and walking that line. I don't think there's going to be any flip-flopping happening -- I've made my choice and I'm sticking with it, but it's hard when one of your best friends is someone that you've had romantic feelings for, who's also the best man. It creates a lot of drama, creates good TV!"

Fans are currently given a preview treat with the first look at the hour-long HIMYM Season 9 premiere with the episodes "The Locket" and "Coming Back" where the characters meet up for Robin and Barney's special day. The video clip features Lily and Ted dealing with other on the road to Farhampton for their friends' wedding ceremony.

Aside from the "How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 wedding weekend format, it has been revealed how the gang would meet "The Mother" first before Ted Mosby does. "Without giving away the context of it or how it happens, we're going to get to see the happiness that's after meeting The Mother. We're going to see happily ever after. It's going to be more tears, more of that stuff," executive producer Carter Bays recently shared to HuffPostTV about the multiple flash-forwards and time jumps in Season 9.

"How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 will return on Monday, September 23 at 8 p.m. ET at the CBS TV network.
