Previous "How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 spoiler reports revealed that cast members Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders know the details on the series finale after asking the sitcom's creators Craig Thomas and Carter Bays. Now, the latest reports claim the HIMYM finale script also made Josh Radnor and Alyson Hannigan tearful.

"How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 is currently on a break due to the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics but speculations on what will happen in the ending circulate online. As the HIMYM cast members tease the fans about what they know in the series finale, it looks like it is a requirement to have a tissue box close by while watching the final episode.

According to the Bustle report, the HIMYM creator Carter Bays talked about the finale back in September 2012 describing it to be really heartbreaking. Cobie Smulders, who portrays Robin in the CBS sitcom, shared in a previous report that she started weeping and walked away from Craig Thomas after the show's creator and executive producer gave her some details on the series finale.

The HIMYM cast members were quick to share their reactions to the finale script on social networking site Twitter. Neil Patrick Harris, who portrays Barney Stinson, revealed on his Twitter account @ActuallyNPH that he just finished the initial read thru and he is so proud of it while his co-stars Josh Radnor, who portrays Ted Mosby, and Alyson Hannigan, who portrays Lily Aldrin, were more emotional on the series finale script.

"Read the HIMYM series finale script on the treadmill at the gym this morning. People probably thought that was sweat in my eyes. Suckers," Josh Radnor wrote on his Twitter account @JoshRadnor. On the other hand, Alyson Hannigan shared an image that shows the script on the finale table read with used tissues next to it with her caption describing how the table read went for her.

"Umm...so this is how the last HIMYM Table Read went for me. #sorrytrees pic.twitter.com/UApWvPbbOM," the actress posted on her Twitter account @alydenisof. An insider even revealed to Us Weekly what went down at the "How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 finale table read.

"Everyone was tearing up ... It's a great last episode, people are feeling really good about it. Cobie [Smulders] was next to Neil [Patrick Harris], Alyson [Hannigan] was next to Jason [Segel], everybody was sharing sad smiles. Everybody has lived with these characters for so long," the unnamed insider stated in the Carter Matt report.

"How I Met Your Mother" Season 9 returns from the two-week break with Episode 18 titled "Rally" scheduled to air on Monday night, February 24, at 7 pm central time on the CBS network. The finale episode titled "Last Forever" will air on March 31, 2014.
