Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 are bound to receive the 4.3 Jelly Bean update later this year. Users of the said smartphones may have to wait for whatever version of Jelly Bean OS until November or December.

According to Samsung centric Web site SamMobile, the delay may be due to TouchWiz interface issue on the said Samsung smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2 are some of the smartphones waiting for the 4.3 Jelly Bean update. Samsung's president of strategic marketing for mobile division Lee Don-joo said in one of his interviews that Samsung is working on connecting the Galaxy S4 to the recently released Galaxy Gear this month. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S3 will follow in the next months.

"All functions of the Gear will be connected to the Galaxy S4 smartphone by next month and the connection will be expanded to Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 by the end of December," the Don-joo told the Korea Times.

Samsung's smartwatch Galaxy Gear was introduced alongside the company's third generation phablet, Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Both devices are both compatible with 4.3 Android Jelly Bean OS because of Bluetooth 4.0, which is one of the new features on Google's latest Jelly Bean update.
