The British network carrier Three UK pushes out the Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S2. The update was confirmed through Three UK's twitter account and the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update can be accomplished through Samsung Kies.

As expected, the update comes with:

  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
  • Project Butter
  • Google Now
  • Samsung TouchWiz Nature UX
  • S Cloud
  • Smart Stay
  • Pop-up Play functionality
  • Improved camera features.

Over-the-Air procedure is not available for this update yet, but you can use the Samsung Kies PC Suite on your computer.

What Do You Need to Update:

1. Download and install Samsung Kies on your computer.

2. Create a backup of all personal information and data files on your device.

3. It is highly recommended that the device is fully charged to prevent power interruption.

How to Install the Update:

1. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable and open Samsung Kies application.

2. When Samsung Kies recognises your phone, it'll automatically check for an update. Select "Update."

3. You'll be asked if you'd like to back up your content. Select the content you'd like to back up then select "Next."

4. You'll see a caution regarding the update. Tick the box and select "Start Upgrade."

5. Your computer will now download the software upgrade and install it on your phone.

6. Once the upgrade is completed, Samsung Kies will restore your backed up content to your phone. Select "OK."

7. Your phone will show "Android is upgrading..." and may take a few more minutes to update.

8. All done. Your phone software has been updated.
