Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 may receive the official Android 4.2 Jelly Bean due to age which is doubtful to run TouchWiz UI. However, owners of Galaxy Ace 2 might be interested with CyanogenMod 10.1 firmware to get Android 4.2.2 goodies for their smartphone.

CyanogenMod 10.1

CyanogenMod 10.2 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which features Google Now, Project Butter, Actionable Notifications and Lock Screen Widgets. It also uses Trebuchet Launcher as its default user interface with modified Linux kernel. Galaxy Ace 2 gets the following changelogs:

- Bug fix on low volume voice calls

- Fixed camcorder issue

- Boot time improved

- Fixed the 'unable to mute microphone in dialler'

- Fixed live wallpaper

- Stability fixes

Your Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is now running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS thru CyanogenMod 10.1 build.

The firmware is currently a nightly build which may contain certain bugs and soon to get fixes and stability improvements.
