HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 Specifications Surface, 8-inch Screen, 8 MP Camera, Huge Battery And Supports Digital Pen
HP will be soon releasing a new tablet running on Windows 8.1 OS. The new tablet, HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 has been already added to list of products on HP's website. HP is already selling a cheaper HP Stream 7 running on Windows 8.1 with a price tag of $99. It is also selling an 8-inch HP Stream 8 tablet. However, the HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 not only comes with an 8-inch screen but also is equipped with better camera, more RAM and supports a digital pen input.
According to Windows Central, the HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 is a slate aimed towards business users. The tablet weighs 13 ounces and it measures 8.4 x 5.5 x 0.35 inches. It comes with an 8-inch IPS screen that supports a resolution of 1,200 x 800 pixels. The device is powered by an Intel Atom Z3736F Bay Trail CPU that delivers a clocking speed of 1.33 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. The tablet will be available in two internal storage options of 32 GB and 64 GB. The external storage supports up to 128 GB of microSD.
The rear side of the HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 is fitted with an 8 MP camera enabled with auto-focus and the front side has fixed-focus 2 MP shooter. The device is powered by a massive 4,800 mAh battery and one of its unique features is that it supports the optional HP Pro 408 Active Pen. The tablet comes preloaded with Windows 8.1 OS and dual stereo speakers. It supports various kinds of connectivity features like Bluetooth, 802.11 Wi-Fi, micro HDMI and wireless display.
As of this writing, the pricing, availability and release date of HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 is not known yet. According to Liliputing, the device was spotted at the FCC regulatory body listing. The Active Pen digital input device does not come along with the device even though the device supports it. Users will have to pay extra to avail it. Liliputing claims that the company has another 10-inch HP Pro Tablet 10 EE G1 and a 12-inch tablet codenamed as Dan under the wraps.
