HP announced three new laptops dubbed "ZBook Mobile Workstations." The launch also featured two new HP Z Displays. The devices are aimed at professionals and offers fast I/O connection among other notable features.

The three devices launched are the HP ZBook 14, 15 and 17.The HP ZBook 14, according to the press release, offers Intel's Thunderbolt technology. The technology offers high speed data transfer.

A single Thunderbolt port allows multiple devices to be connected. The technology is said to provide data transfer speeds which four times faster than the current USB 3.0. The added speed can come in handy for professionals who need to collaborate to work.

The HP ZBooks are aimed at professionals from engineering, CAD, architecture, design, animation, film, education, government and healthcare.

All three HP ZBooks come with the 4th Generation Intel Haswell processors. Customers can choose between the dual and quad core options as not all software benefit from a multi core processor.

The graphics of the HP ZBooks are from NVIDIA and AMD. The recently announced Keplar based professional graphics from NIVIDIA are also included.

The HP ZBook 14 comes with a touch screen option. The HP ZBook 15 comes with a huge 3200 x 1800 display resolution which is a super high resolution QHD. The ZBook 15 and 17 come with a Thunderbolt port.

Customers buying the HP ZBook also have the option of choosing the DreamColor Display panel. The display on the panel renders accurate and consistent colour "from the display to print and the big screen," according to the press release.

The newly launched displays were the HP Z27i and Z30i IPS. They are aimed at designers and image content creators who need clear and accurate imaging.

They provide sRGB colour space which is a standard colour for the web and other professional applications. The HP Z30i also covers 100 percent of the Adobe RGB colour space.

The HP ZBook Mobile Workstations 15 and 17 have been launched worldwide. The HP ZBook 14 will be available by late October. The HP Z30i has been launched with a price tag of $1329 and the HP Z27i will be available in October with a price tag of $729.
