HTC 10 (One M10) release date: Leaked photo shows why HTC 10 will be a major improvement from the HTC One M9 and One M8
Two leaked photos of the HTC 10 (aka HTC One M10) have surfaced, which reportedly shows the real handset and its new features.
One of the photos of the successor to the HTC One M9, which is rumored to be launching with the “HTC 10” moniker and not as One M10, was leaked on Disqus by user @Angt29, and shows the smartphone turned on with a live weather app on the screen. Although the pictures cannot be verified, the weather app indicates that the leaked photo may have been snapped in Beijing.
Below the display sits a physical Home button that appears to house a fingerprint scanner, a feature that was not available on the HTC One M9 and One M8 smartphones. It also shows two capacitive buttons placed on the either sides of the Home button -- a move away from the HTC One 10's predecessors which feature onscreen buttons.
The front panel also shows a prominent frontal camera, while again unlike predecessor models, the HTC 10 will not be featuring BoomSound speakers.
The second leaked photo of the HTC 10 shows that its rear may sport a chamfered edge metallic chassis, which looks to be accompanied by a rear camera and dual-LED flash. In fact, all recently leaked photos of the HTC 10 suggest that the device will be sporting a mixed design of the HTC One A9 and One M9, Phone Arena reported.
Meanwhile, rumours are rife that the HTC 10 will be coming with a 12 MP UltraPixel camera coupled with features like dual LED flash and laser autofocus. The HTC M10 will also be coming with a 5.1-inch or 5.2-inch Quad HD displays -- its predecessor has full HD screens -- and will be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC and 4 GB of RAM. It is believed the device will be announced on April 19.
What do you think about the newly leaked HTC 10 photos and its expected features? Is it a bad move to axe the BoomSound speakers on HTC 10? Do let us know your views by sharing comments.
