HTC is planning to upgrade the HTC Butterfly with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and a leak indicates that the device may receive the update soon. A thread from XDA developers has the dump of the leaked firmware which not only runs Android 4.2.2 but also has the latest HTC UI, the Sense 5.1.
XDA developer Zarboz posted the firmware dump and the OTA which are used to flash an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.1 UI to the Butterfly. Some users are expecting that this firmware will become possible to be ported on HTC One from Sprint and HTC Droid DNA soon.
HTC Butterfly currently runs Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean which mainly features Google Now and Project Butter while Android 4.2 Jelly Bean includes Quick Settings and Actionable notifications. So if you flash the leaked ROM of the Butterfly, what will you get?
