Virgin Mobile has confirmed the availability of the HTC Desire 601, the mid-range HTC smartphone, with an affordable off-contract price. The prepaid carrier now offers the customers with the revamped HTC Desire 601 for $279.99 USD.

Virgin Mobile simply calls the latest addition to their line-up HTC Desire and the handset can be linked to the mobile carrier's $35 per month of unlimited data as well as messaging plans complete with the support for 4G LTE. The HTC Desire smartphone features and specs include a 4.5-inch qHD screen display, 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 5MP rear-facing camera and 8GB of internal storage capacity that can the expanded up to 64GB through the available microSD card slot.

The HTC device runs on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating system right out of the box with the Taiwanese company's own Sense User Interface that can deliver an exceptional smartphone experience to the smartphone user and also have the standard Wi-Fi connectivity, NFC as well as Bluetooth 4.0.
