HTC Desire 612 Will Be Available For Free With Verizon Wireless From Oct 9
In July, AT&T started selling the HTC Desire 610 with a two-year contract price of 99 cents. Now, the very same device will be available with Verizon on Oct 9. According to PhoneArena, Verizon will be selling the device with the name - HTC Desire 612.
Good thing is that the HTC Desire 612 can be yours for free with a two-year contract through Verizon. It supports Verizon XLTE network, which indicates that the handset will not be readily available across the US.
For customers who qualify, they can also avail the HTC Desire 612 through Verizon Edge program. Customers who switch to Desire 612 on The More Everything Plans carrying 1 GB of internet usage will be furnished with an additional 1 GB of data every month for two years.
The Desire 612 is slightly different from the Desire 610 handset. The HTC Desire 612's appearance will make you feel as if it belongs to the Droid Incredible family. The Desire 610's 4.7-inch screen supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution. On the other side, the new HTC Desire 612's 4.7-inch display offers a higher resolution of 720p.
The other HTC Desire 612 technical specifications are same as that of Desire 610. The device measures 143.1 x 70.5 x 9.6 mm. The handset is equipped by Snapdragon 400 chipset that powers up the device by quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex A7 processor and Adreno 305 graphics.
The Desire 2 is packed with a 1 GB RAM. The internal storage of the handset is 8 GB. The external storage slot supports up to 128 GB of microSD. It is running on the latest Android v4.4.4 KitKat which is overlaid with HTC Sense v5.5 UI.
The HTC Desire 612 features an 8 MP camera with LED flash at the rear side which supports 1080p video recording. On the front, there is a 1.3 MP camera that supports 720p video shooting.
The Desire 612 features dual stereo speakers on the front panel. The handset is available in colours like black, white, red, and grey and green. As mentioned above, it supports XLTE connectivity on Verizon.
