HTC Nexus 9 Leaked Images Surface As It Clears FCC Certification In The US Followed By NCC Certification In Taiwan
First of all, let us inform you that the new 8.9-inch Nexus tablet that is still under the wraps is called the HTC Nexus 9. GSMArena claims that the name of the new large-sized Nexus tablet has been confirmed thanks to NCC certification in Taiwan. NCC which stands for National Communications Comission is equivalent of the FCC in the US.
The news about NCC certification has surfaced just after the tablet was reported to clear FCC certification in the US. When the tablet cleared FCC certification, the exact name of the device was not known. However, the alleged HTC Nexus 9 tablet that is listed with FCC has a model number of 0P82100.
According to the FCC certification, the tablet comes with two storage options of 16 GB and 32 GB. It also includes a host of connectivity features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC. When the tablet cleared NCC certification, the exact name of the device was revealed. GSMArena has a screenshot of the certification document.
The same HTC Nexus 9 tablet with the model number of 0P82100 has cleared NCC. According to GSMArena, the HTC Nexus 9 is powered by a 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset. It is housed with an 8.9-inch display that supports a higher resolution of 2048 x 1440 pixels.
The HTC Nexus 9 tablet also features stereo speakers. The rear side of the device features 8 MP camera. PhoneArena claims that the HTC Nexus 9 tablet will come preloaded with Android L OS.
According to PhoneArena, Upleaks has HTC Nexus 9 leaked photos which shows a tablet with HTC logo and Nexus brand name. The large-sized tablet has a matte plastic on its rear and appears quite similar to the Nexus 5. There is no trace of metal on the body.
On Oct 8, HTC will be organizing a press event to unveil its future products which includes the HTC Desire Eye selfie-centric smartphone with 13 MP front-facing camera along with digital camera with a rugged construction. The HTC Nexus 9 is rumoured to get unveiled on Oct 15. Now that the tablet has been approved by FCC and NCC, the HTC Nexus 9 will probably arrive during the upcoming holidays.
