New HTC One 2 concept image showed off larger screen display with slimmer bezels and no physical and capacitive buttons.

The latest render is created by designer Nikolai Prettner who posted the photos on his Google+ account. The handset has a wider screen compared to HTC One and has a rounder built. Moreover, the concept image boasts a camera with dual LED flash. Recent rumours said that HTC One 2 also known as HTC M8 will feature a dual camera and a fingerprint scanner.

Moreover, HTC-based developer LlabTooFeR revealed that he expect HTC One 2 to pack at least the next version of Android Kitkat OS, which is either 4.5 or 5.0 as well as HTC's own Sense 6 UI. Both Google and HTC have not confirmed the rumour yet as both features are still in development stages. However, given LlabTooFeR's track record, it is good to say that Sense 6 will come in the next HTC smartphone.

According to tipster @evleaks, the second generation of HTC One will pack a 5-inch Full HD screen display, ultrapixel rear camera and 2.1 MP front facing camera, 2 GB RAM and Sense 6.0. To the disappointment of many waiting fans, HTC One 2 may come with quad core Snapdragon 800 and not with the previously rumoured Snapdragon 805. The number of pixels was not revealed in the tip.

XDA member that goes with the name of Mike1986, as cited by Android Origin, suggested that the successor of HTC One will be named as HTC One+ when it hit the global market. He also revealed that consumers can expect 5-inch 1080p Gorilla Glass 3 screen, a Qualcomm made Snapdragon 805 processor, 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, a 6MP or an 8MP UltraPixel camera with double lens, a 2.1MP front camera, a huge battery tank of 2,900 mAh, a microSD card slot and NFC, the latest Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and HTC Sense 6.0.

However, all of these features must be treated as grain of salt until HTC confirmed the specifications of the second generation of HTC One next month at the Mobile World Congress event.
