HTC One 2, also known as HTC M8, will feature a bigger screen display and battery capacity as well as a better processor.

Motoring Crunch reported that the successor of the HTC One will sport a larger screen panel by removing the capacitive buttons or the home and back button featured in the HTC One. The screen size is rumoured to be around 0.3 inches bigger than HTC One's and will be around 5 inches. The handset will also pack a 2,900 mAh battery. This is a boost from the HTC One's 2,300 mAh battery.

The HTC One 2 may live up to expectations of consumers to become one of the powerful handsets in the market. Buyers may see a smartphone powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor as opposed to the Snapdragon 800.

Other features may include 6 MP or possibly an 8 MP camera at the back which should have the Ultra Pixel tech or the HTC ImageChip 3. There is also the possibility of the handset packing a double lens that will deliver better photos in low and high lighting.

The HTC One 2 may also sport a microSD card slot for expandable storage and will run with Android 4.4 Kitkat and HTC Sense 6.

Consumers may also expect a fingerprint scanner, as hinted by alleged photos of the HTC One 2 courtesy of Aussie tipster Sonny Dickson who garnered attention and reputation last year after leaking Apple components for its iPad line. This time, leaked photos of the HTC One 2 suggested that a fingerprint sensor will be packed in the handset and the speaker and microphone may be moved. However, these rumours should be treated as a grain of salt until HTC confirms official details of its next flagship phone.

The HTC One 2 release date is speculated to happen next month at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Spain, from Feb 24 to 27. However, The Inquisitr reported that the successor of the HTC One will be launched in March, while other sources hint at a possible launching event after the trade show.
