HTC previously confirmed that the Android 4.3 update will be available to the U.S. and Canadian HTC One smartphone models as well as the HTC Droid DNA before September 2013 ends. Now, the pre-release version of the latest Android update which is accessible as custom ROM has been leaked in advance to its official release date.

Maximus HD ROM Developer LlabTooFeR leaked the Maximus HD 12.0.0 ROM on XDA Developers based on the firmware version 3.09.401.1 with the promise of releasing the untouched HTC firmware version on Wednesday, August 28, at 10 a.m. GMT.

The pre-released Maximus HD 12.0.0 custom ROM updates to the Android 4.3 version with HTC's Sense 5 features for the HTC One handset. It is still uncertain if the latest firmware will comprise all of the features that the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer plans to release with the HTC One having the Android 4.3 update.

The firmware 3.09.401.1 update will offer smoother transition animations, include a new Task Manager set up in the app drawer, a shortcut in the app drawer to the handset's data manager and Wi-Fi location triangulation. A new feature that stands out in the latest build will allow HTC One owners to choose their own music while using Video Highlights inside HTC's image gallery application.

9. Updated System Fonts

10. Updated OEM Apps

However, owners are still advised to be careful when it comes to installing the custom ROM in the HTC One.
