It is confirmed! The solidly built HTC One will officially reach Australian shores on April 23 and come the much awaited release date buyers will have a bevy of price options from Aussie telcos carrying the Android handset.

Pre-orders, according to AusDroid, begin on Friday and the latest HTC device should start arriving a few days after or April 23 to be exact, which is the case for local buyers opting to join Optus' network.

Optus, by the way, is selling the HTC One for a total price of $1512, which comes with a 2-year contract. The plan shakes down into a monthly network access fee $60 plus $3 to cover for the handset repayment.

You can head out to these sites to process your order: http://optus.com.au/htcone and http://optusbusiness.com.au/htcone.

Note, however, that the Optus' plan is not the cheapest of the bunch. Virgin Mobile holds that distinction, offering the new smartphone for a total price of $1488. The cash setback each month is $59 and an additional $3 for the device repayment charges.

Virgin Mobile's pre-order page is right here: http://virginmobile.com.au/htc-one/.

HTC One is also on the buy outright menu for Telstra, which sells the flagship HTC device for $768. Yet those not wanting to shell out that much cash one-off, Telstra's contract price dangles a $60 per month service fee plus $10 for the smartphone.

Automatically noticeable is Telstra's higher price mark, which should be explained by model variation as the HTC One is served in two flavours - the 32GB and the 64GB storage configurations.

One lure that Telstra has prepared for customers is the free Beats Solo headset that carries a value of $200. It is up for grabs with no cost added, that is if buyers will complete their orders on this link: http://telstra.com.au/htc, before April 23.

The same Beats Solo promo is also on Vodafone, exclusively reserved for Aussies who will get its plan that requires a $60 fee each month and a $5 repayment for owning the HTC One.

The whole contract amounts to a total of $1560, running for two years. The Vodafone pre-order page is live today and can be accessed through this link: http://www.vodafone.com.au/personal/android/home/mobiles/htc-one.
