HTC One Jelly Bean 4.2.2 update will reportedly be announced and rolled out by mid-June. But a mobile tech site already has a leaked version of the Android OS update on the HTC flagship phone. Here are the highlights of the changelog as observed by the site's reviewers.

HTC One ships with Android 4.1. It is powered by the quad-core, 1.7GHz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 with 2GB DDR RAM. It works on Sense 5.0 UI, providing neat tricks to users. The Blinkfeed is among its top features, allowing users to enjoy a quick view of their social feeds.

HTC One Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Changelog: Update Leaked Version 'Hands On' Review

Mobilesyrup.com reviewed a leaked version of 4.2.2 JB running the HTC One. Here are the site's observations.

- HTC One users can change icons in the dock from the home screen. This could only be done from the app drawer itself on 4.1 JB.

- Users can skip the on-screen menu button by altering the Home button behaviour. A long press of the Home button used to mean 'Open Google Now,' and it was fixed that way. Android 4.2.2, allows HTC One users to swipe up from the Home button for Google Now. Press and hold shows the menu button.

- Better battery percentage monitoring now works on the HTC One.

- There is better thermal management in place.

- Positive changes to the HTC One camera experience (understood to be including the Zoe camera and gallery) noted.

The tech site also gave a heads up on lock screen widget support for the Sense 5.0. Apparently, it was expected, but was somehow missing in the leaked version. Android tweakers are advised to go to XDA-Developers to get 4.2.2 for HTC One. A quick and easy installation process will be available to regular users within the month.
