HTC One M8 Android 4.4.3 Guide: When to Hit Your Region
Details about the release of the Android 4.4.3 continue to surface. According to recent reports, HTC One M8 users may soon be able to update to it. HTC has been reportedly working on delivering the Android 4.4.3 update to HTC OneM8 devices as the company waits for the Android L release. Google will reportedly launch the Android update later this year.
Google has started releasing the Android 4.4.3 and Android 4.4.4 this June. According to the Christian Post, while Google has unleashed the updates months ago, the fixes have not reached everyone. HTC is yet to provide its users with the Android 4.4.3 along with the Android 4.4.4 patches.
Similar to other Android updates, access is granted to users depending on their carrier. For instance, those with Sprint HTC One M8 have already received the firmware. Some other regions also now have access to Android 4.4.3 update for One M7 and One M8. According to reports, T-Mobile will be following soon. HTC One M8 users can expect the program sometime this month. If not August, then it will be September.
The Taiwanese company has reportedly been working with T-Mobile to bring the update to end users. HTC obtained T-Mobile's technical approval earlier this month. It should be just a matter of time before people can upgrade. As for HTC One M8 including the AT&T variant, reports suggest that the KitKat update should arrive within or in the middle of August.
Apart from the buzz around the Android 4.4.3, the Android 4.4.4 update has also been in the spotlight especially with the reported bugs and other problems. According to Capital OTC, devices like Nexus 5 have been plagued with problems. These include random boots, app crashes and problematic battery life. Google has not released a permanent fix for these issues yet. The tech giant has yet to make an announcement about the update problems including the final details of the Android L.
