The Nexus 6 on release date could be the newly-unleashed HTC One M8, according to recent reports, prompting Android watchers to pit the device against the upcoming LG G3, another gadget rumoured as possible template for the next Nexus phone.

While unconfirmed, the G3-M8 battle is definitely exciting as any of the two ending up becoming the Nexus 6 is win-win scenario for vanilla Android fans. Both the device boasts of superlative hardware inside and out - with the HTC One M8 having a slight advantage because it is already out and its specs and features all but confirmed.

The LG G3, on the other hand, while remains unrevealed is expected to showcase the upgraded components and features of its predecessor, the LG G2, and the device morphing into the Nexus 6 later on is also a welcome prospect for millions of Nexus lovers.

- A 4 Ultrapixel main shooter or the new second Duo Camera and a front-facing 5MP cam with dual flash

- Front facing speakers, infrared port for remote and 2600mAh battery

Note that the specs above will be partially strip down with the memory expansion slot getting the axe in accordance to Nexus device specifications of relying on Google Drive for extra memory needs.

Software and pricing

As in previous builds, any of the HTC or LG Nexus will run on pure and the latest Android, which for the Nexus 6 is build 4.5. Core benefit of having native Android is direct support will originate from Google that leads to getting the latest updates and patches as soon as they become available.

The Nexus pricing is dictated by Google alone. Though the object is still to provide accessibility, the Nexus 6 is seen to impose a slight price hike, likely between $300 and $400, which reflects the upscale components and materials used in the device.
