The upcoming HTC One Max has reportedly been spotted at an airport. Earlier the specs of the phone were leaked online. The company seems to be joining other big brands like Apple, who are trying to stop such leaks.

The new image was reportedly published in the Chinese social media Web site Weibo, according to the report published in T3.com. The image was reportedly taken by zacjasonr, a user of the social media site.

The image shows a woman using the alleged HTC One Max smartphone at a busy airport. The identity of the lady is concealed as the photo has been taken from her back. The lady is seen typing in what appears to be Chinese characters.

There has been a lot of concern recently about the constant leaks which credit Chinese sources. The Australian teenager Sonny Dickson also reportedly credits a source in China for the leaks.

Although a smartphone gets components from many countries, it is generally assembled in China. Many of the components like the casing for the devices get manufactured in the country.

HTC is a Taiwan-based company and has a manufacturing plant in the country. The source of the leaks is as of yet unclear. But analysts expect that such leaks will be difficult to stop in the near future.

The HTC One Max is expected to be a scaled up version of the popular HTC One smartphone. The device is expected to come with a massive 5.9-inch screen. The device is a cross over between a smartphone and a tablet, the new category which is known as phablet.

The HTC One Max will have to go head-to-head with the newly launched smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Samsung also launched the world's first smartphone with a curved display called the Galaxy Round.

The HTC One Max is expected to be released by Oct 17 or 18. There has still not been any official confirmation from the company about the actual release date. The phone is expected to be released internationally including Australia.
