Consumers can now mark the month of August on the 2013 calendar because that is the latest report on the release date schedule of the HTC One Mini. A Bloomberg report confirms the summer arrival of the smaller version of the HTC One smart phone and even though no details were given on the pricing scheme, some reports suggest that the device will have a price tag of US$520.

Two anonymous sources revealed the arrival information of the HTC One Mini to Bloomberg where the smaller smart phone will have a lower resolution and processor compared to the existing Taiwanese-made HTC One. Furthermore, the carrier support for the HTC One Mini has not yet been confirmed but HTC will most likely bring the smart phone into several mobile carriers.

Rumors on the HTC One Mini features and specs include the 4.3-inch screen display with 720p resolution, a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 dual-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage capacity, the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and 4MP camera with the HTC UltraPixel technology that allows the utilization of the Zoe feature and Full HD video recording.

The HTC One Mini will have the comparable full-metal body and design of the HTC One but this time, a plastic band is placed on the edge of the smart phone. Aside from the HTC One Mini, the Taiwanese company will release as well the pure Android HTC One Google Edition smart phone on the later part of 2013.

With the release of the HTC One Mini, the smart phone will certainly become a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini which is also scheduled be released later on this year and an appealing option to the consumers searching for a smaller and more affordable device.
