The Purple Camera Warning

Bugs and issues that are minor get fixed by firmware updates but what will you do if the recent Android 4.3 Jelly Bean brings a weird 'purple camera' warning? Asian owners of the HTC One are now experiencing a major glitch to the camera of having a purple hue whenever shooting images under low-light conditions.

According to Phone Reviews, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean was believed to the solution with 'purple hue' appearing on the camera app but now, it has gotten worse. Some owners have claimed as well that the problem never appeared with the previous firmware version which led to warn other users not to get the firmware update.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware for HTC One arrived initially in Asia, followed by United States and now arriving in European regions. HTC hasn't announced any official explanation or upcoming firmware update why it happened or how to fix the problem.

HTC XMAS Season Gift

Since everyone is waiting for Android 4.4 KitKat, HTC is going to give it out as their Christmas gift to HTC One owners. AndroidSaS revealed rumours of HTC One and HTC One Max as the first HTC smartphone recipient of Android 4.4 KitKat coming in December 25, 2013.

It is speculated that HTC may not update other flagship smartphones such as HTC One X and One X+ to Android 4.4 KitKat. According to leakster from HTC, One X and One X+ have 'zero' chances on getting Android 4.4 from HTC which will force owners to resort on upcoming custom ROMs.

HTC didn't confirm if the leaked information is true or not, but it is obvious that HTC will prioritise and invest on One and One Max as their current smartphones.

Hopefully, the purple hue disease may be fixed by the rumoured Christmas update for HTC One smartphone.
