HTC One release date falls within the week of April 15 in Australia. Meanwhile, in the U.S. the HTC website indicates the Taiwanese tech firm has run out of stock of Unlocked variants (32 GB) and Developers Edition (64GB). If you like the HTC One reviews you've read and you're interested in getting your own One, perhaps it is best to place your pre-order today.

HTC One Release in Days, U.S. ‘Out of Stock’ of Unlocked Units and Developers Edition (HTC)

The Australian online shopping store MobiCity is taking HTC One pre-orders for $759. Telstra, Optus and Vodafone are among the Aussie carriers that will offer HTC One plans from $45 to $130 monthly. The round-up of HTC One reviews on WhistleOut.com.au shows a rating of 87/100 for the latest HTC Android handset.

In its U.S. web page, HTC indicates buyers can get their one on Sprint and AT&T contracts. It also says the phone is "available to pre-order today." There is no further notice as to when there will be new stocks of the Unlocked variants.

The HTC One is believed to compete strongly against the Samsung Galaxy S4, another premium Android phone. As far as initial reviews are concerned, the One has beaten the S4 on each gadget's respective unveiling. Despite turning on the hype for S4's new features (Air View, Dual Camera, Smart Scroll), Samsung is criticized for not showing design innovation. In contrast, the One's sleek aluminum chassis is one of the favorite features of tech reviewers. The S4 is expected to arrive in Australia on Apr. 26.

Blinkfeed is one of the most anticipated features of the HTC One. It may look like the recently launched Facebook Home suite via the HTC First device. This Android feature will allow users an increased social connectivity and quick access to various social media channels.

The HTC One sports a 4.7-in screen display, with a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels (468 pixels per inch). The 5-inch screen of Samsung Galaxy S4 sports the same screen resolution. But due to its bigger screen, S4 has a lower pixel density at 441 ppi.

Do you think HTC has found the sweet spot in handset design and specs combination to beat Samsung (or at least the Galaxy S4) in 2013?
