An HTC One update is coming. Owners are about to experience an improved phone performance, particularly in the handset's camera. This develops even as many interested buyers in countries like Australia are still waiting for the handset's release date. The software update is expected to add even greater value to the much-celebrated One.

Incidentally, T-Mobile has just announced on Twitter its HTC One (LTE) release date is on April 24. In Australia, the online store MobiCity is looking at an end-April stock availability.

"The update is focused on camera enhancements," SlashGear.com said in its report, noting that the tweaks should make the Zoe feature work better.

The HTC One update does not involve any Android OS update. The device still runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The One's Sense UI skin also remains unchanged. Below is the changelog for lucky One owners:

- Improvement to sound capture with Zoe
- Noise reduction in slow motion movie capture
- Improved color reproduction and dynamic range (reduced over-exposure in non-HDR images) in certain conditions
- Fix to display correct ISO in EXIF information when ISO settings are manually changed by the user
- Improved system performance and stability

SlashGear expects the software update to be distributed over the air in a week's time.

The HTC One price tag is marked $759 on the Australian online shop MobiCity. Inside the 4.7-inch One is a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, 32 GB storage, and 2 GB of DDR RAM. Despite lacking a provision for memory expansion, the One is still preferred by many Android users.
