Huawei Technologies recently released the Huawei Ascend P2 in the market and it currently receives a positive feedback in Australia as the fastest 4G smartphone available. Telstra will start to offer the Huawei Ascend P2 on July 30 for a $60 price without an upfront charge on a two-year contract.

The Huawei Ascend P2 can be acquired as well with the outright Telstra price of $504. Online pre-orders for the new Huawei smartphone can be placed at the Telstra Web site and the first 500 customers who listed will be given Huawei MediaPad 10 Android tablet.

In Australia, the Huawei Ascend P2 is the first device with the Category 4 LTE/4G connection and Telstra is the sole carrier that has the capability to support such category. Adelaide and Brisbane are currently the capital cities enabled with the Category 4 4G but more cities will have the availability soon.

The Telstra Category 4 4G is the latest and fastest version that can download data up to 150Mbps compared to the Category 3 4G devices that are only capable of download speeds up to 100Mbps. Further comparison with the previous wireless creations reveal that DC-HSPA is only capable of 42Mbps while the HSPA+ can only get together 21Mbps.

Subscribers can experience the Huawei Ascend P2 Telstra Category 4 4G with the $60 Every Day Connect Plan for two years. The plan includes $600 worth of phone calls, text, MMS and 1GB of data download.

Huawei's products can now compete well with the other devices coming from rival companies like Samsung, Apple, Sony and LG. The Huawei Ascend P2 Android smartphone impresses with its 4.7-inch IPS screen display at 1280x720p resolution, a 1.5GHz quad-core ARM based K3V2 CPU, 1GB of RAM and 13MP camera.

The additional features and specs are the power of a 2420mAh battery, Corning Gorilla Glass 2, glove compatible touch screen, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio and 32G internal storage capacity without the microSD card slot for memory storage expansion. For the camera, Huawei Ascend P2 has LED flash and the 1.3MP front-facing camera with 720p resolution.
