The Huawei-owned Honor brand is likely to announce its Honor 5X at the international Consumer Electronic Show (CES) event in the US this coming January.

Rumours are circulating that Honor plans to expand its business in the United States. Honor recently sent out invites but did not mention anything about the launch. However, the company's reportedly planning to introduce the Honor 5X at the CES event.

The United States is the highest end market for Huawei and so the company is trying to expand its Honor business across the country. As part of its expansion plan, Honor will inaugurate the Honor 5X to its US consumers very soon. George Zhao, president of Honor Global, confirmed the news by saying that Honor will announce more about its US plans during the CES event, states 9to5Google.

Expect a host of stunning features from the low-end Honor 5X phone that brings unmatched display quality along with exceptional features. The screen size is huge and appeals to those who have a penchant for large devices.

The phone’s 5.5-inch display size with 1080p display resolution offers maximum clarity in every pixel, producing quality images and videos. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 616 system that ensures the best performance of the device. The handset is available in both 2GB and 3GB of RAM versions. It has a 16GB of internal storage capacity that's expandable via flash storage. The rear camera of the phone is 13MP and the front-facing camera is 5MP.

The CES event will take place in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 8 p.m.
