Huawei P10 and P10 Plus specs, prices and release details: Reported prices seem to fit both phones’ specs
The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus have been the subject of various leaks recently, from supposed specs, renders to even colour options. Apparently, it won’t stop anytime soon, as new details regarding the upcoming flagships’ prices have also been leaked.
Based on the leaked info, the Huawei P10 will be launched in three variants. The low-end model with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage will cost CNY3,488 (AU$664), while the median unit with 4GB of RAM and 64GB native storage will be available for CNY4,088 (AU$778). The most flexible among the three – the one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage – will carry a CNY4,688 (AU$892) price tag.
The Huawei P10 Plus, meanwhile, will be available in two versions. The model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal memory will sell for CNY4,988 (AU$949) while the high-end model with 6GB of RAM and 128 GB native storage will be available for CNY5,688 (AU$1,082). As with most leaks, these pricing details should be taken with a pinch of salt until an official confirmation from Huawei is announced, although the numbers seem to be reasonable considering the handset’s specs and features. According to GSMArena, the pricing could also be an indicator of how much the P10 and the P10 Plus will cost in other regions.
Both upcoming Huawei flagships are expected to equip 5.5-inch displays with 1,440 x 2,560 resolutions. The most notable difference among the two is that the P10 sports a flat display panel while the P10 Plus boasts of a curved edge screen similar to that of the Mate 9 Pro. Powering the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus is the Chinese tech giant’s own HiSilicon Kirin 965 chipset, although there are other reports that suggest that the P10 could furnish the Kirin 960 chipset, which debuted on the Mate 9 and has been previously dubbed by the company as “the world’s highest performing smartphone processor.”
The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus are reportedly going to sport dual-sensors with Leica optics as primary cameras. No less than 12MP main shooters are expected on both handsets. The P10 and P10 Plus are also likely to furnish secondary front cameras no lower than 8MP.
A previous report suggested that the P10 could be backed by a 3,100mAh non-removable lithium-ion battery while the P10 Plus might pack a 3,650mAh cell. Both phones are likely to run on Android’s latest Nougat OS. Official details of the upcoming Huawei handsets are going to be announced at MWC 2017 (Mobile World Congress), which starts on Feb. 27 in Barcelona. The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will come in five different colours: black, yellow, silver, pink and gold.
