Heartthrob actor Ian Somerhalder appears to be enjoying his new single life in London where he was spotted leaving the Groucho Club with a mysterious girl. The 34-year-old "Vampire Diaries" star reportedly left the famous private members club with his sister, Robyn.

E! News claims that the mysterious girl holding on to Ian's arm is his sister while other reports suggest that the girl could be a random fan who wants a photo opportunity with the Hollywood star based on the captured image. Representatives of the actor have not yet commented on the reports to confirm or deny if the girl was indeed his sister, Robyn Somerhalder.

Ian Somerhalder was photographed that evening looking handsome in a brown leather jacket and jeans paired with a black suede shoes. The actor stayed in London after a brief visit in Paris to "rehearse for a new movie" which ignites the rumors on the "Fifty Shades of Grey" casting news where Ian is a fan-favorite to portray Christian Grey.

The reason behind Ian and Nina's break up circulates on the actor's interest in portraying dark billionaire and BDSM practitioner Christian Grey. Still, the casting hype further builds up given that author E.L. James previously declared the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie will be filmed in London.

"Still can't sleep-jet lagg. Working on new movie script-take'n short break. Paris-it was short and sweet, thanks for the abundance of love. Great day in London, rehearsing new movie. So. Damn. Happy. Here. In. Europe," the actor posted over the weekend on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder.

Aside from his busy work schedule, it looks like traveling the world is Ian Somerhalder's medium in forgetting his breakup with Nina Dobrev. The actor shared to his followers on Twitter: "Good night beautiful world. Good night Russia, what a day and another great one of press& talking acting tomorrow with Ivana Chubbuck!"
