Even though Damon Salvatore finally won the affection of the love of his life Elena Gilbert, actor Ian Somerhalder who portrays the character still gives him some dating tips. The advice that the 34-year-old heartthrob actor gave during the "Vampire Diaries" 100th episode video interview in the WetPaint report seems apt for Damon, the vampire with the impetuous behavior.

"Think before you act. The decisions this man makes blow my mind. Whoever thought it was a good idea to kill the love of your life's little brother - come on man, think about this for a second, it's not a good idea. But he does it," Ian stated.

The actor further added: "And the cool thing is that he does everything, even if it's awful, with so much heart, that the audience finds justification to forgive him." Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) also surprisingly still forgives Damon for putting Jeremy (Steven R McQueen) in harm several times.

In the meantime, TVD fans won't be seeing what Damon Salvatore will do next in the upcoming episode of Season 5 titled "The Cell" due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Episode 9 has been scheduled to air on December 5 while Episode 10 with the title "Fifty Shades of Grayson" and released synopsis will air on December 12.

The official episode synopsis reads: "Damon (Ian Somerhalder) realizes Elena (Nina Dobrev) is in danger and enlists Stefan's (Paul Wesley) help to find her. The brothers pay a visit to Aaron (guest star Shaun Sipos), and Damon shocks Stefan by revealing his first-hand knowledge of Aaron's family.

In an attempt to stop Damon, Dr. Wes (guest star Rick Cosnett) unleashes his secret weapon, forcing Damon to deal with a part of his past he thought was gone forever, as well as the consequences of his decades-long plan for revenge. Meanwhile, Elena is horrified by Dr. Wes' confessions about the dark history of Whitmore College and his own ultimate goal. Finally, a frantic Katherine (Nina Dobrev) turns to Matt (Zach Roerig) for help, until she realizes that Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda) may be the one who can solve her problem."

The Cartermatt.com report further claims that Episode 10 will focus on Dr Wes Maxfield that will make viewers get to know the mysterious character more and find out what his purpose really is at Whitmore College. It looks like Silas is not going to be the only baddie this season. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. on the CW Network.
