Ian Somerhalder: 'Vampire Diaries' Actor Reveals a Girl Recently Turned Him Down

Millions of Ian Somerhalder female fans have been expressing their love for the "Vampire Diaries" actor but apparently there is one mysterious girl who said no to CW's 35-year-old heartthrob star. The revelation came from Ian Somerhalder himself during his guest appearance on "Chelsea Lately."

Who is this girl that recently turned down Ian Somerhalder? Unfortunately, the star of the hit CW TV series did not reveal her name.

According to the Entertainmentwise.com report, Mary McCormack, the replacement host of Chelsea Handler, asked actor Ian Somerhalder about his love life particularly if a girl has turned him down. "You know what, yeah, it recently happened," the actor responded.

Ian Somerhalder further shared that the rejection did not break his heart and described the experience to be appropriate and for the better. "It's good. You have to experience things," Ian explained.

After Ian's guest appearance, the "Vampire Diaries" actor shared an Instagram image of himself posing next to the copy of Chelsea Handlers' book. "How did @chelseahandler end up in my hotel room?! Maybe b/c I just Did the Chelsea Lately show with Mary McCormack. SO fun, great audience- I felt really loved. So much awesome estrogen! Thanks Mary! Ian Somerhalder's revelation about being turned down happened after the Molly Swenson dating rumours surfaced online. Molly Swenson, the alleged new girl in Ian Somerhalder's life, put a stop to the dating reports through a post on Twitter last April 17, Thursday, explaining that she has been off the market for two years already.

The Fashion & Style report noted that Ian and Molly, the COO of RYOT News, work and spend a lot of time together. It became easy to assume that a romantic relationship is blossoming between the two.

However, Molly Swenson's tweet calling out to E!Online about doing some more digging on her relationship status slams the ongoing rumour that she is dating the "Vampire Diaries" actor. Additionally, Molly Swenson has several images of herself with boyfriend Randal Hark shared on Instagram to confirm that the Ian Somerhalder dating rumours were false.
