It looks like the answer to the question on whether "Vampire Diaries" stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev will rekindle their romantic relationship has been given at Creation Entertainment's "Vampire Diaries" convention held in Orlando, Florida last Dec 14 and 15.

When a fan asked Ian Somerhalder if he would ever date a member of his Ian Somerhalder Foundation (ISF), the heartthrob actor revealed at the convention that he never dates the people he works with. His response was posted on Ian-Somerhalder.com and had some fans puzzled making them react.

One fan posted a simple comment that reads "Except one." The Fashion & Style report claims the actor even made a correction when he answered "Actually twice." The 35-year-old actor had a three-year relationship with "Vampire Diaries" co-star Nina Dobrev that ended last May.

The other co-star that Ian Somerhalder dated in 2006 is "Lost" actress Maggie Grace who portrays his step-sister Shannon Rutherford. Aside from his personal life, Mr Somerhalder also talked about the on-screen drama in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 at the convention.

There has always been a debate on which Salvatore brother should Elena end up with: Damon or Stefan? Ian responded: "I think Damon definitely loves her more." Another thing that keeps the actor super busy is his dedication to environmental causes and hanging out with people who have the same objective.

Mr Somerhalder shared on Instagram an image of himself with actor Woody Harrelson who supports Prairie Paper Ventures, a company that produces paper from crop waste instead of trees. "In Atlanta with my brother Woody and Joe talking Step Forward Paper, a non-wood paper-and the paper revolution. Sustainability is topic of this conversation! Dig these men-true game changers," the actor wrote as a caption to the photo, according to the WetPaint report.

The caption for the second Instagram photo reads: "Woody Harrelson, his mentor Tom Evans and Me in Georgia. Watching a mentor and a student relive a lifetime of experience together creating art. Amazing... Reminds me of how I can't wait to direct - Tom Evans here wrote this book on Directing, amazing. '111 Directions for Directors'- I've learned so much tonight. Reminds me of how grateful I am for my mentor-they are important."
