Actor Ian Somerhalder portrays strong vampire Damon Salvatore onscreen in the CW TV series "The Vampire Diaries" and he may not be able to display Damon's familiar powers in real life when under attack. Mr Somerhalder shared during his interview in "Live with Kelly and Michael" about a fan attacking him at the 2013 Comic Con to profess her love for the heartthrob actor.

Despite Ian's tight security at public appearances, a female fan wearing a "Wonder Woman" costume was able to sneak up on the 34-year-old actor in the men's bathroom and pin him against the wall. Ian recounted about his fan choking attack to the "Live with Kelly and Michael" viewers and hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan.

"Paul Wesley and I were walking to the little boys' room. Paul was over in an alcove, so when I went to leave, there was like this 6-foot Wonder Woman there and she was beautiful and had this great energy about her. She literally grabbed me by the throat, slammed me against the wall, and held me there and just said, 'I love you. I love. I love you'," Ian recalled.

What was Ian Somerhalder's reaction at that time? The actor revealed that he was gasping for air while saying "Oh, that's incredible!" to the "Wonder Woman" fan. Mr Somerhalder further added: "I didn't want to have to call the security guys. She let me down."

Additionally, Ian Somerhalder shared another experience through social networking site Twitter. The actor slammed the racism and lack of tolerance he encountered while traveling to Atlanta on Saturday, October 19, where he films the brand new episodes of TV series "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5.

The actor revealed about the unpleasant racism incident involving a couple of airline employees while encouraging his over 4 million followers to not tolerate such behavior. The actor posted on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder: "By the way-Racism SUCKS.I got it in ATLa few hours ago from(believe it or not)American Airlines employees.Compassion&tolerance-the way to go."

Ian further added: "I'm not saying it to say 'poor me poor me' NOPE-Im just saying i hope this next generation-YOU,stops judging&starts loving."
