‘Indivisible’ by Lab Zero Games features video game character cameos of 'Shovel Knight' and Juan from 'Guacamelee'
Lab Zero Games is not as well-known as other developers like Konami, Square Enix and Ubisoft, but this doesn’t stop them from developing promising titles. Its biggest venture to date is the hit 2D fighter called “Skullgirls.” However, it looks as if Lab Zero Games is planning to release a new title, which seems to be a solid roleplaying game (RPG).
The upcoming title from Lab Zero Games is called “Indivisible,” and the company is currently taking chances on crowdfunding. The game could draw a huge fan base as it has a long list of playable characters. Some of them should be familiar to several players, as most of the characters are from pre-existing titles by other developers, Polygon reports.
There will be more than 25 playable Incarnations in the title. These incarnations will fight alongside the game’s lead characters, Ajna. Among these characters are some cameos from beloved games, which, according to Polygon, are the following:
- Annie -“Skullgirls”
- Calibretto – “Battle Chasers”
- The Drifter – “Hyper Light Drifter”
- Juan - “Guacamelee”
- Lea – “Curses N' Chaos”
- Shovel Knight – “Shovel Knight”
- Zackasaurus - “Super Time Force Ultra”
Lab Zero Games will also introduce their own original Incarnations, and the art design for each Incarnation varies greatly and is inspired by different cultures and mythologies. Aside from that, each Incarnation also has a background story. The Incarnations can also be used to acquire new weapons for Ajna.
The game is currently on Indiegogo and is a little below the halfway mark of its goal. “Indivisible” channels the art style and gameplay of early RPG titles like “Valkyrie Profile” for the PlayStation One. Each area is explored in a sidescrolling style and the battles are turn-based, greatly inspired by the aforementioned game. It also features a lot of cultures and mythologies, and there are a ton of enemies for Ajna to face.
