Instagram's Facebook page is still receiving reports of program error from users.

Instagram has blamed a powerful storm in Virginia over the weekend for its failure to load or service outage. Pinterest and Netflix were also affected by the weekend storm in the same manner.

Reaching out to users on Twitter, Instagram wrote:

"We're currently experiencing technical difficulties, and we're working to correct the issues. Thanks for your patience."

By Saturday afternoon, Instagram explained further:

"Due to severe electrical storms, our host had a power outage, no data is lost -- we've been working through the night to restore service."

On its Facebook page, Instagram wrote:

As of Friday evening of June 29, 2012, Instagram has been experiencing technical difficulties.

An electrical storm in Virginia has affected most of our servers, and our team of engineers is working hard to restore service.

Thank you for your support and patience!

The popularity of the mobile photo service grew evident on the surge of Twitter complaints on the subject.

@BraeaChris tweeted, "my instagram is instaTrippin." The brevity of the error description was retweeted over 10,000 times.

A search ran on Twitter just now showed the problem has been solved, but there are still some users who are experiencing some problems. They posted comments on Instagram's Facebook page.

"Crash again," reports Travis Hsu.

"I can not loggin (sic) still, help pls!" says Patriz Sumanga Payoyo.

"Any idea when we will be able to log in again? I would just like an update please," says Tammy Fields.

The most recent comments were posted within two hours ago.

However, no new complaints are seen on Twitter, with several users posting images within the last 55 seconds.

Users are definitely waiting for explanations. But Instagram has not posted any fresh information following the Virginia storm reference.
