The beta build of the iOS 7 for iPad will likely hit the testing pipeline by August, a new report said, but this early cool features for the popular Apple tablets are in wide circulation.

Thanks to an iOS 7 emulator images provided by @SonnyDickson at Twitter, iPad fans have a few glimpses of how the reworked operating system is rendered on Apple's 2013 tablet lineup.

Here's a quick rundown of the three exciting iPad features we can look forward to.

The new iPad Control Centre

Apple made it easier to access the Settings menu of its upcoming iOS devices. With the iPhone 5S, this panel is pulled up and users will be presented with full-screen menu that allows the easy toggling of various handset preferences.

Possibly both in the iPad Mini 2 and the iPad 5, the same Control Centre appears by swiping the bottom of the screen and a transparent menu will come up, measuring about two inches high and stretching on both ends of the screen.

It offers navigation through functions like device brightness, connectivity and more.

Optimised iOS 7 tablet experience

The main strength of tablet computing is providing portability to the tasks and entertainment features normally performed on laptops and desktops. All the popular Mac features such as browsing, gaming and word processing will be further enhanced by the new look and fresh offerings of Safari, the stock iPad keyboard and the gaming centre.

The object is to equate the usability of Macs with that of the two iPads, without necessarily eliminating the need for Apple's conventional computing products. It is more of the two platforms complementing each other by allowing users to use, for instance, a Mac and an iPad Mini seamlessly.

Some iOS 7 tablet features will be exclusive for iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5

Like its iPhone cousin, the iOS 7 for iPad will leave out earlier versions of the Apple slate, starting off with the iPad 4 and iPad 3. In fact, shortly after the official release of iOS 7 on iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5, versions before the fourth-gen iPad will be retired, which is the same case with the iPhone 4S and below.

As such, the new builds of the 9.7-inch and 7.9-inch iOS tablets will have sole access to features such as Cam app with filter, Panorama image shot, AirDrop and the popular PDA Siri, which will come with Eyes-Free function for safe use while driving on luxury vehicles like the BMW.

Apple is likely to issue the final build of iOS 7 between August and September this year while both the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2 are pegged for separate Q4 2013 release dates.
