No official word yet from Team Evad3rs on when exactly is the iOS 7 Evasi0n jailbreak is coming out. The latest points to a January or February 2014 release date.

However, the target date remains speculative as no members of the Evad3rs are willing to supply any form of hints. The best they can give out at the moment is the assurance that work on the iPhone and iPad unlocker continues.

So while the jailbreak community waits, it should be worth checking out the wish-list of jailbreak features that likely will be part of the Evasi0n jailbreak release in the coming months - listed below and courtesy of Gotta Be Mobile.

Extension of iPhone 5S cam features to previous iPhone builds

Apples loves to bring in new iOS features on new model devices then locks out its earlier gadgets from the new offerings, to the dismay of iDevice users unwilling to upgrade. This happened again when the iPhone was unveiled simultaneously with the iOS 7. The package boasts of new camera capabilities that tech giant said will not be available to older iPhone editions.

Thankfully, Apple and jailbreak fans can look forward to the likelihood of enjoying too new iOS 7 cam menus such as the Instagram-like filters and burst mode on their iPhone 5s and below models. And they have the Team Evad3s to thank for such generosity.

iPhone 4S and below builds to embrace AirDrop

With AirDrop, iOS device users acquired the file-sharing privilege that initially was exclusive to Nokia and Android gadgets. The implementation, however is limited only to the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5, which hopefully the upcoming Evasi0n jailbreak would alter.

GBM notes too that perhaps Team Evad3rs would go the extra mile and allow jailbreakers to share cross-platform, meaning users can share between iOS and OS X and vice versa.

Better multi-tasking environment

Apple devices gained famed on their intuitive features, giving users easy time to learn the ins and outs of iOS. But as they become 'experts' they demand more advanced usability features and of them is the ability to multi-task.

True the iOS 7 is now equipped with multi-tasking tools but perhaps the iOS jailbreak can better this by offering smoother or speedier ways of pulling up and killing apps without going through the circuitous route that is embedded on the Apple mobile platform.

Customisable Control Centre

Apple gained a huge a plus in adding a Control Centre on the new generation of iOS devices but stopped short of giving users the ability to personalise this incredible tool. Unlike in Android, the iOS Control Centre is locked against editing.

This should prompt Team Evad3s to provide an 'Open Sesame' in the iOS 7 jailbreak, empowering iPhone and iPad users to add and delete toggle keys as they like.

Widgets and simplified Notification

Apple re-coded the iOS 7 Notification Centre to make it more feature-rich. It was a welcome revision but many fans now long for the more straightforward rendition of the same tool. For sure, Team Evad3rs will take notice and offers a simplified alternative for a more classic effect with the same benefits.

One possible bonus is the addition of Widgets, rumoured initially with the iOS 7 rollout but was tempered in the actual release.
