Apple has released a second update to overcome the reported bugs in the iOS 7 operating system. Bugs were reported even after the first update was released just a few days ago. The new update focuses on bugs related to the secure lock screen.

A bug allowed users to bypass the pass code protected lock screen, the Control Centre was used to exploit the loop hole. The bug allowed users to access Applications like mail, photos and Twitter et al.

From a locked screen, users first need to access the Control Centre on their iOS 7 device, by swiping up from the bottom. The Clock app can be accessed from here even without entering the pass code. From here, the shut off screen can be accessed by holding the power button, users should select cancel, followed by a short and then a long press of the Home button.

The device would now have entered the multi-tasking view. Users will be able to access an app which was open prior to locking the device; apps like the Safari can't be accessed by exploiting this loophole.

Users, who have not updated to the iOS 7.0.2, can overcome the exploit by simply disabling the Control Centre from the lock screen. Users will no longer be able to access the apps from the locked screen by doing this.

The new update iOS 7.0.2 will reportedly fix this loop hole. The update also reportedly includes a Greek keyboard option, which can be used to enter the pass code. This is the second update from Apple since the launch of the operating system.

The first update was specifically for the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. There were reportedly some bugs with the fingerprint scanner on the current flagship phone from the company. The bugs were reportedly minor problems; it is unclear what bugs were encountered in the 5C, which does not come with a fingerprint scanner.

Apple has been quick to release the bug fixes, according to analysts, as the new flagship phone iPhone 5S is being touted as one of the most secure phones in the market, coupled with the iOS 7, the device has been highly recommended by the legal experts and other supporters.
