Apple launched the iOS 9, an upgraded edition of its mobile operating system, this September. And now, Pangu, a popular team of developers from China, has released tools to jailbreak iPhones and iPads running on iOS 9.
In the past, jailbreaking an iPhone or iPad was a tedious process. Chinese developers like Pangu and TaiG, however, have released simple tools that allow users to jailbreak their iPhones and iPad in few minutes.
Pangu’s new tool for jailbreaking iOS 9 even supports the most recent iOS 9.0.2 version. Currently, the tool is usable only on a Windows PC, 9to5 Mac reported.

- Go to Control Center and start Airplane mode.
- Download Pangu’s tool for jailbreaking iOS 9 and launch it.
- Hit the Start button on Pangu and then click on Already Backup.
- The iDevice will restart and will prompt to enable Airplane mode. After you do this, the jailbreak will continue.
- The Pangu tool will then prompt you to launch the Pangu app on the iDevice.
- Once the app is launched on the iDevice, the tool will ask for permission to access Photo Library. Accepting it will let the jailbreak process to continue.
- Users are then required to tap on OK when a pop-up box with the text ‘Pangu Would Like to Access Your Photos’ shows up.
- The iDevice will reboot once again. When the homescreen appears, the Airplane mode can be disabled.
After performing these steps, the iDevice will be jailbroken and users will be able to run Cydia apps. The new iOS 9 jailbreak from Pangu will become useless when the iOS 9.1 update is released by Apple, reported the International Business Times.
