Popular iOs hacker and developer warned the public on the new jailbreak app H1Siri that promises to port iPhone 4S' Siri to iPhone 4.

H1Siri is a jailbreak app that was made available via Cydia store last week. The new app promises to bring the Apple's voice recognition system in iPhone 4 that is running on iOS 5 or iOS 5.0.1.

The H1Siri jailbreak app gives users a complete port of the iPhone 4S' Siri to iPhone 4. The jailbreak tweak is available at http://www.iphone3gsystem.fr/cydia/.

It is unclear yet how the new jailbreak app works. However, according to initial reports, once the jailbreak app is installed, the Siri port makes use of a proxy server, which handles the voice commands rather than the Apple servers.

iOS developer chpwn warned the general public about the dangers of the H1Siri jailbreak app. He tweeted, "Please note: if you use a proxy to access Siri, you may be sending your Email, SMS, Calendar, Contacts, Location, etc though that server. (It's up to you if you want to accept that risk. It's also your choice if you want to violate copyright law to obtain the needed files.)"

There are also reports that Siri only works occasionally maybe due to high load in the proxy server that yields to connectivity issue. Below is a video of H1Siri jailbreak app working in iPhone 4.

Last week, a developer released a jailbreak tweak called Siri0us that brings Siri's features to other non-iPhone 4S devices. However, the developer had to pull back the jailbreak app from Cydia store as he is illegally using Nuance's voice recognition software.

In H1Siri's case, it seems that the hackers got the software working in iPhone 4 by pirating some of the system files from iPhone 4S, which is illegal as it breaches privacy.

There are also some reports that the jailbreak app is causing other issues such as randomly rebooting the iPhone 4 and messing up the Settings app (when you open the Settings app, it goes to Siri section and it is not possible to go to any other section in the Settings app) and you may be forced to ultimately restore your iPhone 4.
