More than the games, the women in cosplay and announcements from the two biggest consoles for the next-gen gaming, the Tokyo Game Show 2013 has seen another trend in gaming emerge.

Mobile games is now slowly becoming a recognised hit in the industry, and TGS 2013 has seen the showdown of Sony and GungHo Online Entertainment, as the two went on a semi-battle between two industries: the gaming consoles and the mobile market.

Wired reported on these two particular keynote speeches given by Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House and GungHo Online Entertainment CEO Kazuki Morishita.

Even though the PS4 (as well as next-gen competition Xbox One) will make use of smartphones and other mobile devices to further enhance the gaming experience, the mobile industry as a whole seemed to be a gaming trend of its own. Morishita seemed to be banking on this particular notion, wherein casual gamers still seem to prefer mobile gaming over dedicated gaming like consoles.

Still, in upcoming gaming apps, the two trends are seen to propel themselves forward. While there are mobile gaming apps that are offshoots of original dedicated games, there are also new apps for which casual gamers in Japan, and eventually the rest of the world, can get into.

'Otorenja'

Only glimpses of an upcoming iOS gaming app from Capcom been seen throughout the TGS 2013. For now, it is certain that the game operates on rhythm. A quick check on the Capcom website reveals dancing Power Ranger-like characters, so that can be a quick clue.

'Monster Hunter Smart'

"Monster Hunter 4" is coming this year, and as a complementary game, Capcom is also rolling out the "Monster Hunter Game."

For now, no other details have been revealed for the game. A trailer already debuted at the TGS 2013 if the gameplay and looks are anything to go by.

Also, one of the strong suits of "Monster Hunter Smart" is that it is a free to play game that is optimized for the iPhone and iPad.

The release date for "Monster Hunter 4" for territories outside of Japan has not yet been released, nor is there already a concrete repeat of the games that will be rolled out. But it's better if you check out what's in store for you and your iOS device.

'Final Fantasy IV: The After Years'

As though the "Final Fantasy: Agito" is still supposed to come to iTunes U.S., Square Enix has announced at the TGS 2013 that a new mobile game off the "Final Fantasy" franchise is coming in.

Titled "Final Fantasy IV: The After Years," the game takes off 17 years after the original "FF IV," and according to Touch Arcade, the game will have the remade 3D look when it hits iOS and Android devices, reports Portable Gaming Region.

The pricing and the actual release date are yet to be announced, but judging by the titles that have rolled out for the "Final Fantasy" app franchise, it may either go for the $8.99 or $15.99.
