Apple's brand new iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 will be unwrapped on Oct 22, which could be the same day of the iOS 7 devices' release date even as a popular gadget swapping site dangles irresistible pricing for upgrade seekers to grab.

It could be a long-shot fort the refreshed iPads to become available on their rumoured launch day but for the many who have decided to make the jump to the redesigned and reenergised slates, Gazelle offers some solid proposition.

According to Apple Insider, the online trade-in hub for device owners has adjusted its buying price points for existing model iPad builds, which for Apple watchers is a clear sign of something big that is programmed to explode within the month of October.

Popular tech blog site AllThingsD has reported earlier that the tech giant is prepping for a major event on Oct 22, and experts take the word as gospel while anticipating at the same time that two new iOS toys are coming out.

It is a given that they would be the two new iPads, replacing the nearly 12-month-old iPad 4 and the original iPad Mini.

Millions out there own these two gizmos and if they intend to ditch them for the supposed prettier and more powerful new models, Gazelle offers a big helping hand.

So long as these iPad owners are willing to ship out their ageing tablets, Gazelle is willing to pay up and the loot should cover a big part of the cash needed to get hold of the Mini 2 and the fifth-gen iPad.

For the first Mini with 16GB and Wi-Fi connectivity, the best price listed is $175, which is around 50 per cent of the Mini 2's retail price, that is if Apple will stick to last year's introductory price for the Mini of $330.

The bounty for the iPad 4 is $275, which is also for the basic model of 16GB and minus the cellular radio signal.

It goes without saying that higher configurations and the latest models of the same tablet will fetch higher value.

Yet one important thing must be noted by bargain hunters - Gazelle pays more for the iPads that look they just got out of the box. And they need to power without glitch plus behave as they were intended to be.

Those planning to snap up the new iPads and have the old builds they can exchange are strongly advised to cash in on the deal as experts reminded that the value of these old-gen devices will shrink real quick.

And the best thing about locking-in on a deal, like today, swappers will enjoy the same price for the next 30 days. That would mean users can keep their tablets until mid-November and be assured that once they are ready to turn in, the good deal that they picked remains in effect.

Now, it should be safe to assume that by the second of week November any of the iPad Mini 2, likely with Retina and the slimmed down iPad 5 are readily available, if indeed their release date drops between Oct 22 and the first week of November 2013.
