Apple's iPad 5 may be released in September with Inductive Smart Cover.

Reports claimed that Apple is already prepping up for the imminent release of iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 set in September with the production of the devices beginning in July.

According to tech blog DigiTimes, tech companies LG, Samsung and Sharp will produce displays panels for the iPad 5, and the three suppliers will begin manufacturing the panels sometime during the month of July. Production will gradually ramp up, reaching its peak during September, and DigiTimes' sources say the general public should expect the iPad 5 release date that same month.

However, some people are wondering how Apple's calendar works. The three aforementioned companies also play significant roles in producing other Apple devices such as the rumoured iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S.

One important aspect that is going to see marked improvement is in the life of battery. There are rumours that Apple will also release an Inductive Smart Cover, containing its own battery, where you can plug-in your iPad, expanding its battery lifespan.

Supposed to have an A6X improved processor, the iPad 5 will be faster and more reliable, while consuming the battery slightly slower than the iPad 4. The price for iPad 5 is expected to be from $520 for the 16GB model and could hike up to $728 for the 128GB.

Tech analysts have confirmed reports of LG, Samsung and Sharp to be providing for the screens for the device, while other companies like Taiwan Surface Mounting Technology, Coretronic, Radiant Opto-Electronics and TPK Holding will provide different parts of the iPad's display.

According to rumours, iPad Mini 2 is speculated to feature a screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536. This is almost four times the resolution of the present iPad Mini and is equal to the fourth generation iPad which was released along with the iPad Mini last year. AU Optronics has been rumoured to be making displays for the iPad Mini 2.

Other specs include a more powerful dual core A7 processor and a 7.9 inch screen. It will also feature a 10-hour battery life, a FaceTime HD camera, and an iSight camera with 1080 pixels HD video recording. Apple is also trying to reduce the thickness of the iPad Mini 2 by using the Sharp's IGZO (indium gallium zinc oxide) technology in its screens.

The iPad 5, on the other hand, is rumoured to have no bezels, and the whole form factor has been made sleeker. Horowitz believes this design indicates that Apple will be calling on Sharp's IGZO screen technology. Sharp, however, according to Horowitz, has been struggling, and its ability to deliver components on time will play a key role in the release of the next iPad.
