iPad 5 to Outsell iPad Mini 2 in this Month’s Launch?
iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 release date is set this month and predictions claimed that the full-fledged iPad 5 will outsell its miniature version.
According to the latest note of KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, supply of iPad 5 in the fourth quarter is larger than that of iPad Mini 2. iPad 5 is estimated to have more than 10 million units of supply compared to the two million units of iPad Mini 2.
Kuo also said that the new iPads will be launched on the fourth quarter of 2013 as the tablets will enter mass production on the said quarter.
Earlier this week, alleged photos of iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 emerged online and showed that the tablets will be available in different colour variants and will have a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
Chinese Web site Pad Zol and Australian teen Sonny Dickson published some photos of the gold and "space gray" iPad Mini, respectively. Thus, it is speculated that the new iPads will come in gold, gray and in the traditional silver colour options.
iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 release date, according to MacGeneration, will be held on October 15. The Apple's tablets will be accompanied by other Apple products - OS X Mavericks and MacBook Pro 2013.
According to the widespread rumours, the full-fledged iPad 5 features will pack the faster 64-bit A7 processor chip paired with M7 GPU chip, which will bring faster processing to the tablet. The device will also feature fingerprint sensor, 5MP rear shooter and internal storage up to 128GB. This is all housed in a slimmer bezel and iPad Mini-like design.
Meanwhile, iPad Mini 2 may retain its 7.9 inches screen display but may get an upgrade on its screen with the inclusion of retina display. It will also pack a 64-bit A7 processor and Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
However, California-based tech company has not confirmed any of these rumours yet.
