Apple iPad 5 release date is still rumoured to fall within the first half of 2013. Other rumours point to a September release. The new full-size iPad specs are expected to feature some level of design innovation. But what is in your Top 5 specs wish list?

Some rumours indicated earlier this year that we will hear of an official iPad 5 launch within the month of April. We are done with the first two weeks of the month and Apple remains quiet on the matter. But now Apple fans got their fingers crossed for a May announcement. This way, iPad 5 release date could fall in May or June. When it comes to the latest Apple device, some fans could hardly wait.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, the following specs and features could be expected in the iPad 5. However, the well-known Apple analyst did not give a target release date for the tablet.

7.5-8.0mm - 15% thinner than the iPad 4
500 grams - 25% lighter than the iPad 4
9.7-inch display with GF2 touch technology from the iPad mini
Apple A7X processor
5MP rear camera, HD front camera, similar to the iPad 4
Design similar to the iPad mini
8,500-9,000mAh battery - 25 to 30% smaller than the iPad 4

iPad 5 Specs Wish List: Top 5 Things Users Want to See

Gadget shoppers who dig up the internet for the latest Apple iPad rumours are looking for three things: iPad 5 release date, specs, and price. The internet has many unconfirmed information on these three topics. What determined iPad 5 buyers do is make a wish list of things they want to see based on all the rumours they've been reading.

1. May the iPad 5 be the lightest 9.7-in tablet, or the lightest full-size tablet. Apple does not even have to make a bigger screen for the iPad 5. The 9.7-in diagonal screen display already makes for good browsing and media consumption. But it would be great if the device gets even lighter.

2. Battery life innovation. The iPad 4 battery life does not really disappoint. But heavy tablet users would certainly appreciate an even longer battery life for their device.

3. iOS 7. May the next iPad run on a new and improved Apple OS, the iOS 7. A wish linked to this is an improved UI allowing a quicker access to various features of social networking sites.

4. Robust system, bigger on-board storage, and a competent memory for an awesome gaming and browsing experience on iPad 5.

5. Reasonable pricing. Many prospective iPad 5 buyers are upgrading from iPad 2. They did not think it was practical to jump to the next upgrade when their tablet is still working fine. But if the iPad 5 comes with super enticing features at reasonable price, then they'd go for the newer device.

Several rumours suggest the iPad 5 will sport much slimmer bezels for a maximized screen. It will reportedly look like a bigger iPad mini. Apple users will look at this from different points of view, but everyone's hopeful there's more to the next iPad than slimmer bezels. What specs and features are on your iPad 5 wish list?
